A little colour goes a long way...

..and it was only $3.50!

eXtreme sook

Today, LY and I went to the Royal Melbourne Show (which is like the one I brought Mummy & popo & aunty Sook Cheng to in Perth). It was the FIRST time since coming to Melbourne. It was SO FUN!! Who said money couldn't buy fun..heheee..

We started out at the Food Pavillion...and spent most of our time there. We did buy stuff there but the main attraction was the free samples. The first one I tried was a chilli sauce with a 10++ heat rating. It was SO hot!! (eXtreme Sook #1). LY didn't really trust me so decided to try it for himself. Less than 5 minutes later, we were frantically finishing off the above ice cream and cone.

I really wanted to try the rides cause...errr...I finally had a friend with me (haha..sounds so pathetic hor). Anyway, we didn't want to go on the round & round ones and wanted something that looked like safety standards were up to scratch. We ended up on the Crazy Coaster that had a family & extreme rating on it. In the beginning we were kidding that it was going so slow etc etc..and then the ride started. On the first bend, I clutched LY's arm and started screaming. He thought it was hilarious. He laughed all the way through..mostly because I was screaming all the way through. This is eXtreme Sook #2

Since I was on an adrenaline high, I decided to conquer the Euro Slide (eXtreme Sook #3) And yes, if you notice the little boy in front of me, the other lanes were filled with children about that age. Not only that, but he just pushed off and ashamed, I stopped reconsidering the ride and followed suit. LY didn't want to go hence the photo. It was cool though. I would have gone a second time.

We decided to head back to the food pavillion and finish our shopping. I got quite a few things. There really were a lot of deals. Especially because the show closes tomorrow. Despite lugging a few kilos of fruit & meat from the market to work & around yesterday, and a few more kilos of fruit from the Footscray market this morning, I decided to go past the pain barrier and ended up with all the loot you see surrounding me. (eXtreme Sook #4) In fact...most of them were stuffed into my black bag so it looks a lot less than reality. But, I saved a lot of money. Really. Won't need to get stuff for a while...2 weeks maybe...ahahhahaha

And this is us just before heading back... I praise God for the nicest weather, the best-est friend and my pay coming in next week.

p.s. the Crazy Coaster people were selling photos they captured of those on the ride. The one of LY and I was quite something- I looked petrified (never realised how I look when petrified but now I do) and LY was just laughing. I would have bought it but for the fact it was $10 and I had already blown my budget.

a rainy day

what a blessing it is to live so close to campus! :))

my mini fridge isnt' keeping the food very well. :( so i must remember not to buy so much fresh produce!

Anyway, I thought I'll continue with picture posting. I have a very amusing video..(cheche: hehe) but I won't show it.

claire, emma and i at the back seat.
oh no! i have one last caterpillar biscuit left. :(
it's getting soft anyway..so have to eat it up quick.
Korean b-b-q. mmmm!!
hehe.

wahhh... look at that!! mmmm...
i also have to remember that i don't really like leftovers that much! ahhaha. i try not to cook such large amounts..but..i end up with leftovers anyway. and now without a freezer, susah sikit lah. cannot keep right?
so..hm..maybe i'll go to the grocery store every 2nd or 3rd day.

but that was some good b-b-q. :))

Back in Montreal

Hihi!
So I'm back in Montreal. I survived the first week, by God's grace. I'm sleeping alot..like from 10pm to 7am! :S
Anyway, so don't have any pictures of Montreal yet. But here are some from my visit back home. :)

Clinical is obviously very different from social psychology. Tons of classes, so please continue to pray for me that God will give me the strength and wisdom and knowledge to do well in these classes especially for the practical stuff.

Hm. other than that ar..not much to say lar. Just ordered my laptop. yay! It'll come in handy.
I have a long to do list. Wah..not used to doing school work anymore! haha.

My lab mates seem nice. I know 2 of them sort of. There's a new guy too..he's kinda fun.
